Mary's Head Chef

We are looking for a Head Chef to drive our unique, neighbourhood favourite, working with a small team of driven individuals to create food we’re genuinely proud to put on the plate and create memorable dining experiences.

In this role, you’ll help maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation, lead a positive and motivated kitchen team environment, and support the training and development of junior chefs. You’ll take responsibility alongside the Craggy Range Executive Chef to develop memorable menu's, food safety, stock control, and maintaining excellent personal and kitchen hygiene, while continuing to build your own management and leadership skills throughout the leadership of your team.

What we can offer you:

  • A minimum guarantee of 40 – 50 hours per week (dependent on candidate availability)
  • A minimum of $35.00 - $45.00 (dependent on experience)

  • A passionate, professional team with consistent support from the Craggy Range Executive Chef, Casey McDonald.     

To be considered, you must have the legal right to work in New Zealand, hold the equivalent of a Bachelors Degree in Culinary Arts or similar, or in lieu of, hold 5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable establishment.
